Loosely inspired by the sinuous lines of kufic calligraphy found on 10th century Nishapur ceramics, this red terracotta hand-thrown bowl is set on a small base, featuring a deep conical shape with flaring vertical sides. Made by an Egyptian artisan in the Chouf mountains of Lebanon, the serving bowl is decorated with a central flower surrounded by Arabic lettering.

The Calligraphy Collection
