Hand-loomed and embroidered from sheep's wool in Eastern Anatolia, the Tarsus Tablecloth is an authentic example of the traditional weaving method known as "Ehram." Wool is sheared from local sheep in the Spring, dried naturally, then combed and twisted into weaving threads. The fabric is then dyed with natural elements such as walnuts, and embroidered with a variety of motifs belonging to a visual lineage that spans Central Asian, Persian and Turkic weaving traditions.
